BAND MASTERS
Musical Director & Chief Band Master
Ms. Pangelinan began her musical journey as a beginning band student at the Commander William C. McCool Middle School with Ms. Jan Goldhorn as her band director. Upon entering the Academy of Our Lady of Guam as a freshman in 2009, Ms. Pangelinan joined the Guam Territorial Band where she has been an active member since.
Jessica has represented Guam with the Pride of the Pacific Marching Alliance locally and in Saipan for their 2010 and 2012 Independence Day Parades. She has also travelled with the Guam Territorial Band on their 2012 appearance at Carnegie Hall, 2014 appearance at the Australian International Music Festival (AIMF) in Sydney, 2018 tour of Japan and most recently, the 2019 appearance at the AIMF in Sydney. While attending the University of Guam, she led the Haligi Honor Band as the showcase group, alongside Ms. Sabrina Borja, in the 2017 Tumon Bay Music Festival. Jessica began conducting for the Guam Territorial Band after she was appointed Assistant Band Master by Mr. Brandon Aydlett in 2018. Ms. Pangelinan holds a Bachelor of Fine Art/Music Performance (flute) from the University of Guam and is currently a music instructor at Guam Department of Education - Simon Sanchez High School. The Guam Territorial Band community welcomes and congratulates Ms. Jessica Pangelinan on her new post and wish her well as the new Chief Band Master. Additionally, the Guam Territorial Band thanks Mr. Ronquillo for his impressive 30 years of musical service to the community of Guam with the Guam Territorial Band and wish him great success in his new post with the Guam Council of the Arts & Humanities Agency. |
